We stayed at Ocean's 101, only 200 meters away from the famous Cloud 9. This place is very relaxed and cozy. This location is very ideal for us since we are planning to surf every time we get a chance. Each non aircon room cost 600 Php and 300 Php for addition bed.
The next island is Dako Island were we stop for a while to enjoy snokling on a deep blue waters and huge coral reefs. The last stop is the island called Naked Island, and island letterally called naked because there is no trees and the only thing you could see is fine white sands.eventhou we didnt get a change to visit all the islands near by we defenately enjoy the time. You can get a chance to visit some those islands tru renting a small pump boat for 1000 - 1500 Php, this price will only give you a chance to hop 3 islands. We choose to visit Guyam, Dako, Naked Island since it is the neareast islands.
Couldn't get any better than this, after visiting those beautiful islands. We get our fresh grilled fish and kinilaw already being served by the local restaurant on the town. Best i have eaten since we arrive.
After the beautiful sun sets, exciting night life opens like Disco bars and Videokaraoke bar. Disco bars only opens on Thursday tru Sunday while Videokaraoke bar opens 7 days a week, Sugba-sugba and people living on this island were very funned of video karaoke..5 for 3 songs. Drink til the last drop.

It is the surfing capital of the Philippines. This surfing haven is located down South part of Philippines. Its most popular break is "Cloud Nine." Surfing is best from July to November when strong waves are in constant motion. Siargao is composed of 8 small municipalities each with distinct beautiful places you can visit. General luna is the most famous of them all. This is where the famous cloud 9 is located. There is a lot more to do in General Luna other than surfing. Its warm tropical waters offer excellent condition for snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, or boating. Wind and wave surfing, and other forms of water recreation.
Cocaliong offers daily trip to Surigao for a fee of 500 Php per head. Tired and batered, we stop by along the road for a mid day snack at a native foodcourt near by called Gleares Sea Food, a little videokaraoke would boast ug the spirits of our tired comrades. Rejuviniced and Charged, we head on to Siargao Island and took the fastest route which is riding on a pump boat at 11:30 AM for 3 hours depends on the sea conditions since Fast Craft were out of commision. Two other Boats like Montenegro and RuRo depart at 12:00 PM for 4-5 hours, way much slower than the pump boat that were riding and since it departs earlier and for a fee of 130 Php per head. Finally we arrive at Sirgao Island around 2:15 PM, since the port is on Dapa we have to travel for misley 30 minutes to General Luna were we were staying, by riding a van cost 200 Php for the 3 of us and 150 Php if you are planning to get a cheaper deal riding on a habal-habal motor cycle. Habal-habal since this motor cycle is only built good for 3 seaters it can accomodate 6 persons including the driver and with two 70 pounder bags.
Whole lot of activities to do in the morning so that you won't get bored. Surfing, snorkling, visiting the sutohon cave, and island hopping. Better time to surf is when the tide is high so that you wont get broused up on the jaged reefs. At the time when we get there, afternoons were the best times like starting at 2:00 and ends at 6:00. Average waves mostly comes as high as 6 feet and sometimes when you get lucky it will get to as 24 feet. For starters, local surfers are willing to give some surfing leassons for a fee of 300 Php per head,for 3-4 hours excluding the board, my advise is that youll get the best basic leassons if you go one on one with the instructurs. On our third day we decided to visit the islands near General Luna. We rented a small pump boat good for 8 persons. First we visited Guyam Island. You can go around this island for just a 10 minute hike. Small and lots of vegetation.
Siargao Surfing
It is a sunny August, 18 2006 Friday morning. Our Plan is to wake up 5:00 AM so that we have a good chance of catching the 10:00 fast ferry in San Carlos City, Parting a the night before we ended up waking up at 7:00 in the morning. Now wiithout a full proof plan we decided to go ahead and started our land trip from Bacolod to San Carlos City for 2 hours via Salvador riding a van for a fee of 100 Php per head. Raising againts the time, after arriving in San Carlos City we went straight to the local pier to catch 10:00 AM fast ferry that would only take a 40 minutes ride to Toledo cashing up 170 Php per head and if you are riding on a boat, it would took 2-3 hours til you reach Toledo. From Toledo we still have to take a van for 2 hours till we arrive in Cebu City for a fee of 80 Php. In order for us to arrive at our final destination as quickly as posible we have to take a boat called Cocaliong via maasin at 6:00 PM same day and arrive in Surigao City at 8:30 in the morning the next day.
