Cagayan White Water Rafting
Determined to try some white water action we decided to sign up to join a group of team on a white water rafting. The best time to get unto the action is when there is always constant rain and it usually happens between the month of October and february. Rafting in Cagayan has numerous waves that are bigger and a bit irregular with currents that can be tricky. Obstacles require maneuvering, but the narrow passages are generally straightforward. Scouting from shore is recommended and usually required. Big splashes and exciting rides!
We were provided with complete safety gears such as helmets, flotation devices, rescue ropes, first-aid kit and dry bags. Our guides are well-trained, traversing the river 100 times as whitewater raft guides before they actually become full-fledged river guides. They are also trained by the Philippine National Red Cross in First-Aid, Basic Life Support and Swiftwater Rescue. They also undergo Tourist Relations Training with the Department of Tourism and Cagayan de Oro City Tourism Office.
Well what can i say, White water rafting in CDO is well worth it.
Special thanks to Tita Lucila, Lianne, and leah and to God.
