Our road trip started on June 4, 2005 from Bacolod to Camiguin. we travelled 3 1/2 from bacolod to Dumaguete on a well cemented road and its and housr less when your riding a bus. from Dumaguete, we got onto a boat including our car which cost 1,400 pesos a one way ticket to mindanao. At last we arrive at the port of Dipolog City, as soon as we got off the pier, we drove straight to Oroquieta City to visit my grandparents and stayed there for a night. The next stop was Iligan City, took us 4 hours to travel to get there, since we have a little bit of time in our hands we kind of cool down for a couple of hours on the famous Timoga Fresh water Pools. Visiting Iligan is not complete without stopping by at Maria Christina Falls.the as we drove on our way to camiguin as our original itenerary, the car's radiator blow up and the engine broke down, it took a couple of days to get our car on the road. by the way We drove an old nissan sedan which i used to call it BatMobile, a bit rusty but still could run 60MPH in less than 10 seconds. Desperate and Out of luck these is where our outdoor adventure begins. The car trouble took ug in Cagayan De Oro City.

Trekking . How did this name originate,Language researchers trace the etymology of the name "Cagayan" as coming from the Proto-Philippine language called Mayayo-Polynesian, the root of many Filipino language. The word "kagay" is translated as "a river". "Kagay-an" meant "the place of the river". That is the root of the name of Cagayan, derived from the great river that runs through the city.
