Boracay

Boracay is tropical island located approximately 315km (200 miles) south of Manila and 2km off the northwest tip of the island of Panay in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. The island is comprised of the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak which make up the municipality of Malay. Its fine white sand beach, warm crystal waters and a boat load of fun makes Boracay the tourist destanation in the Philippines. With approximately 4km white beach anything could happen at anytime.

Morning of April 31, 2006. Ancious and eager to have fun, me,sheryll, pepc and samuel were already pack and ready to rock & roll. Our journey started in Bacolod and end up in Boracay. To make our trip easier,we already purchased a ticket a day ahead of our scheduled depature. We were supposed to be in a boat scheduled to depart at 6:30 AM, Waking up so late, tired and still dizzy we ended up taking the 8Am Trip to Iloilo. The trip took us 1 hour to arrive the panay island and went straight to a Vhire terminal to catch a 4 hour bus to kalibo aklan. We arrive at kalibo around 2PM we were raising against time to catch earliest boat we could posible find.Boats from kalibo to boracay departs every 30 minutes and the lasttrip going there is 5 in the afternoon. The boat took 25 minutes to get us in our final destination Boracay.

There are tons of fun going on when the sun is up, after laying on the sand trying to get some tan we decided to rent a jetski. jetski cost 1500 pesos for 30 minutes and there are designated areas were you can ride. After the ride was over, we get in on a banana ride. It was the perfect time to have a banana ride because there are waves coming at you, making the ride more challenging.

After the sun goes down and the breath taking sunset past by.we started drinking early and get the party starting while the night is young. Restaurants that caters Buffet are starting to open that cost between 150 - 250, there are so many good places to choose from that we almost couldnt decide which place to eat. Food were just everywhere. That night i was so hungry that i just follow my nose wherever it leads me. I started with 1 plate and the next thing i know, i already had 6 plates on my table. i could say that i eat like there no tomorrow. My stomach felt like its gonna explode. It was crazy. anyway. After the bloody feast, i found some old friends passing by and they partied with us til the break of dawn.
Couple of days gone by, time to pack our bags again and hid home ,it felt like we just got there. We wanted to stay a little bit longer maybe a night or two but its already time to go. I only have a couple of days left here in the philippines and we still have other places to explore. All i can say is We went home with lots of memories and a big smile.
